Principle: Tzion Moshe
Phone/Fax: 08-9234270

General Background:

The school was founded in 1981 in Ramla's Ben-Gurion neighborhood.
The school's name in hebrew is actualy initials and the english equivalent whould
be R.Y.N which stands for Rabbi Yitzchak Nisim, who was Israel's chief seffaradic
rabbi during the years 1955 - 1973.

Rabbi Yitzchak Nisim was born in 1895 in Bagdad.
Already at a young age he stood out as someone of quick perception and deep
thought in every field. Most of his knowledge he gained by himself. Rabbi Nisim
was considered a great rabbinical authority due to his amazing proficiency in
jewish law ( Halacha ). Rabbi Nisim's knowledge was not confined to rabbinical
fields alone. He was also very well familiar with secular world, a qualification
that aided him as a general advisor to the community.

The schools policy - Principle's word

Rabbi Avraham Kook of blessed memory writes in his book "Chavash Peer":
"We will not change the distorted through noise and sharp language, but with
strong and true love".

The meaning of this concept is that providing values and learning skills should
be done in a way that is mild mannered, patient and with dignity. Furthermore,
the teachers staff expresses openness, patience and respect towards their pupils.

Rabbi Akiva Iger of blessed memory writes in his article regarding rabbinical
training: "Although there were several rabbis and will still be, many have
traveled the sea with boats but a defined path has not been set through the
waters." This means that instructing and training rabbis is like a boat in the
sea and every ship must re-path its way through the stormy waters.

We beleive in the differences between pupils and that every teacher should pave
a way in his/hers personality in order to reach the pupil while taking into
account the pupils qualifications and personal needs.

The paths and routes are many. Use of various learning material, modeling a
rich learning environment, adapting the material to the pupil e.t.c. All these
together pave a way to the pupil and bring out his potential to model a
jewish religious personality.

Our wish is that we shall be worthy enough for God to provide us with the
mental strength needed to educate our pupils to Torah along with good manners.

At this point I have the pleasant opportunity to thank my collegues in the
teachers staff for their cooperative and dedicated work all along the way.
Responsibilty, initiative and involvement are definite guarantees for success
and higher quality production.

Respectfully,
Moshe Tzion
