The name "Idanim" was given by parents and pupils after a long process that was accompanied by various interesting activities. The peak of these activities were democratic elections common to both parents and pupils. The schools uniqueness is in its special architecture that includes four structures: Three buildings for classes, one square, the second round and the third triangle. The fourth building includes the administrative offices, science labs, computers lab, technology class and library. School Characteristics: The school includes 7 classes of 7th graders, 7 classes for 8th graders and a class for pupils with learning difficulties. The total number of pupils reach 520. We believe every pupil has a learning potential and motivation to study, develop and widen his/hers horizons each at his/hers own pace and with his/hers personal learning style. A rich learning environment promotes study, enables significant learning and direct experience through reciprocal relations between the pupil, his other classmates and with adults. The schools job is to bring out each pupils potential while taking into account the differences between them and relating to their differences in learning styles and ways of thinking. The school operates to organize and develop a teachers staff knowledged with a variety of teaching skills. The school is now in its 4th year.In order for us to meterialize our educational concept we have gone through a process of "modeling" with the aid of a 3rd party organization - The national center for teaching in heterogeneous classes - directed by Mrs. Miriam Kidroni.
