Historical Review The sections in the pages that review Ramlas history in essence were extracted from the book "Ramla-Past & Present" by Zeev Vilnai that was published in 1961. Although Ramla has undergone many changes since the appearance of the book, the city has developed and population has greatly increased, still our knowledge regarding the city's history and it's historical sites has changed only slightly and these are greatly detailed in the book. It is only left to hope that the sections brought in these pages and a deep studying of the book will serve those pupils and students who study the historical past of Israel in general and Ramla in particular.
