Good Budget Performance and Responsible Financial Management
The Standard & Poor's Maalot rating committee raised the rating of the bonds of the Municipality of Ramla to AA level, due to its’ strong financial performance and the efficient and responsible management of the financial economy. The Mayor of Ramla, Yoel Lavi: “The efficient financial management allows the municipality to invest in the private residents by providing a varied and high quality list of services, developing commercial areas and employment opportunities, developing and greatly investing in education, welfare and more”.
A Giant Leap for the Ramla Academy
Bar Ilan University has authorized academic studies at Hashfela campus in Ramla. Following the request from Vice Prime Minister Silvan Shalom and the Mayor Ramla Yoel Lavi, studies for the first academic degree have been approved at the Ramla Campus.

Elizur Ramla is EuroCup Champion of 2011
A historic accomplishment for the Elizur Ramla women's basketball team, who has, for the first time in history, won the Eurocup; the Ramla basketball players did the unthinkable and won an incredible and very close game against the French Aras team; Ramla Mayor Yoel Lavi: This is a historic accomplishment, and a great honor for Israel, and for the city of Ramla.

A new slogan and logo were chosen for the city in its new branding campaign. Yoel Lavi: "The new branding 'Ramla – Close to Your Heart' truthfully reflects the city and its residents, and especially the sense of belonging to the living multicultural community of this city, a family oriented, warm and colorful community, with unique characteristics"
