The local veterinary department
The local veterinary department has set a goal to improve the health of residents of Ramla and take care of the animals' welfare within city boundaries. Its purpose is to take action to reduce and prevent the spread of diseases transmitted through consumption of meat products as well as diseases transmitted through interaction with animals alongside with keeping animals' welfare within city boundaries.
The local veterinary department responsibilities
- Taking care of animal pests
- Vaccination and licensing of dogs
- Interventions in cases of abandoned pets
- Enforcing the laws regarding dangerous dogs
- Answering and checking complaints on meat products businesses
- Supervising and licensing food products businesses throughout the city
- Secondary inspections to food products transportation vehicles in the city
- Education and health advancement (in relevant fields).

· Vaccinations are given regularly on Tuesdays between 16:00 – 18:00
