Social Services Department
The social services department in Ramla provides a variety of social services for the individual, the family and the community in accordance with the policy of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and in coordination with the municipality's management and policy.
Social Services Department's responsibilities:
- For all demographic sectors. The department offers services for all demographic sectors grouped by age, main characteristics and needs: the elderly, individuals and family, children and adolescents, young girls, individuals recovering from drug and alcohol abuse, ex-convicts, individuals suffering from domestic violence, physical and developmental disabilities, counseling and couple and family therapy. Operating family protection and supervision acts, volunteer and community work, CCS (Citizen Counseling Service) and a bridging center.
- Free of charge. Services of the department are given free of charge, except for marriage counseling, a service given for a fee set in accordance with the individual's income.
- How to turn to us? Applicants must fill a form with their personal details and wait for a summons from the station's secretary.
- Someone is taking care of you. The department employs social workers specializing in different areas, administration workers and entitlement. The department uses the help of organizations and associations in the shared development of projects and services founded in the city for the welfare of the community as a whole, as well as for specific populations.

Reception hours for individuals with a file in the department: Sunday: 15:30-17:30 (for working people) and Monday and Thursday: 8:30-12:00.
All applicants for service entitlement must have proof of income (pay slips, National Insurance pensions, and income assessments for self employed individuals), relevant medical approvals and price offers for their request.
