Spokesmanship and Media department
The Spokesmanship and media department engages in Spokesmanship, marketing, advertising, public relations and coverage or events and ceremonies within the municipal system. The department works continuously marketing the municipality's actions including all its various extensions in many different fields including: education, tourism, welfare, law, security, society, culture, sports and community centers, youth activities and more.
Spokesmanship and Media department's responsibilities
- Writing and editing news items for the media about the municipality's activities including its' various extensions, both locally and nationwide, as well as in magazines, sports and gossip columns. The news items are directed to the national and international media, printed and electronic press, television channels, local gazettes, websites and radio stations.
- Coordinating interviews with the mayor, the municipality's elected members and staff.
- Producing manifests and booklets reflecting the municipality's activities mailed directly to the residents.
- Covering, organizing and producing local and presentational events.
- Providing strategic advice regarding the media for the municipality's management and its' different sections, as well as advice on event and ceremony production.
- Writing advertising materials and newspaper ads, publishing advertisements in the local and national press.
- Accompanying the mayor and the department directors in media aspects in interviews in the press, television and radio.
- Publishing messages, announcements and tenders in the media.
- Assembling the media footage and images.
Management of the city media center – a community educational center
- The center includes two active levels of television and radio, guided by professional guides and teachers.
- The center has new studios and professional equipment, allowing for a real practical experience of the media world.
- The Voice of Ramla radio at 106 FM transmits every day for the city of Ramla and its' environs. The radio holds courses for all demographic sectors, training the futures radio announcers.
The municipal media center produces the magazine "Mabat Lakehila" (A look on the community) using the television studios, aired on channel 98 twice a week on cable and satellite television, Wednesdays at 13:30 and Fridays at 21:00. The media center allows the residents of Ramla to make their mark and take an active part in the public agenda of the community.
